Brigadier General Manoj Thapa, AWC, CGSC, psc, an alumnus of the US Army War college, Command and General Staff College, (US) and Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (UK) was commissioned into the Nepali Army in 1990. He assumed the current position of Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor of the Army Command and Staff College, Nepali Army He has successfully commanded an Infantry Battalion and an infantry Company. He has served in the UN peacekeeping missions in Sierra Leone (UNAMSSL), Haiti (MINUSTAH) and Darfur (UNAMID). (MONUSCO), Liberia (UNMIL) as a Military Observer. He is a graduate of the US Army War College, USA and Command and General Staff College, Ft Leavenworth, USA. He holds Masters' Degrees in Strategic Studies from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, Masters’ Degrees in Military Arts & Science (US) and Masters’ Degrees in Strategic Studies (US). Post Graduate in Security and Strategy for Global Leaders, King's College, London. He has been awarded with a COAS Commendation Badge. He is married to Mrs Anupa Regmi Thapa and the couple is blessed with son Parangad. His hobby includes travelling. |
